Updated: Apr 5, 2020

Had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, and was also selected to compete for the Golden Bear at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival, Never Rarely Sometimes Always narrates the story of two young cousins from Pennsylvania embark on a journey to New York City following an unplanned pregnancy in order to get an abortion. The performances in the film are remarkable, especially Sidney Flanigan who has given a unique twist to the film. Flanigan’s energy, dedication and meticulous performances play a significant role in the success of the film. Her multilayered and absorbing performance make us dive into the experience of a 17-year-old Autumn (Sidney Flanigan), in her mission to end an unintended pregnancy. Being the first time actress, what difficulties and problems Flanigan face with in this film? How does she prepare for the role? I had the chance to sit with Flanigan to know more about performance in the film.

Never Rarely Sometimes Always, directed by Eliza Hittman, is now available on demand.
